We will be conducting trials for all current and future players who wish to play for the club in 2023. We also welcome new players to trial who may be looking to commence their journey or players who may want a change and join our great club so please spread the word to friends.
Objectives
Who: Trials for age groups U11, U13, U15, U17’s
When: Sunday 13th November 2022
Where: Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre, Badminton Courts (reset for Netball), 30 Aughtie Drive, Albert Park
Times:
U11 Registration 8.45am, Trials 9am-10.15am
U13 Registration 10.15am, Trials 10.30am-11.45pm
U15 Registration 11.45am, Trials 12pm-1.15pm
U17 Registration 1.15pm, Trials 1.30-2.30.
Dress code: Club members – PMNC match day uniform.
New players – black shorts, white t-shirts.
Please ensure you bring water bottles and snacks.

17&Under – 2006, 2007, 2008, 2008 (must turn at least 14 cannot turn 18 in 2023
15&Under – 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 (must turn at least 12 in 2023, cannot turn 16 in 2023)
13&Under – 2010, 2011, 2012 (must turn at least 11 in 2023, cannot turn 14)
11&Under – 2012, 2013, 2013,2015 (cannot turn 12, minimum age 8 years we would still encourage NSG.
NSG – Go is generally for 9 and 10 year olds (2013, 2014)
NSG – Set is generally for 6, 7 and 8 year olds (2015, 2016, 2017)
minimum age is 6 for NSG.

- Select consistent and competitive teams for each age group & division in 2023
- Understand priority development areas for each age group / team Assign “best fit” coaches to each age group / team
- Skills assessment and modified match play, aimed at assisting the coaching panel in selecting and assembling the teams for 2023 Trials are an important process but not the only component in the selection and development of teams Players will be notified of their 2023 team by mid December.
- Arising from the assessment, players will be invited to trial for our top teams in each age group with details to follow
